Delia's How To Cook: Book Two

Delias How To Cook Book Two, ISBN 9780563384311 and books by Delia Smith on sale at thebookshelf.co.nz

Delias HOW TO COOK: Book Two continues Delias simple–to–follow teaching course for people of all ages and abilities. With her unique powers of communication, Delia removes the fear and mystique from cooking both the simplest and the more advanced dishes. For those who have mastered the techniques – and for those who are already accomplished cooks – HOW TO COOK: Book Two contains a collection of 120 new recipes from Roast Lamb in a Shrewsbury Sauce to Fresh Pecan and Almond Crumble. The book features the following ten sections: The Store Cupboard, Fish, Meat, Poultry, Vegetables, Salads, Dairy Produce, Fruit, Cheese and Chocolate. How to Cook is a complete guide to cookery for the twenty–first century. Delia shares not only her vast experience, but also her extensive knowledge of English cooks, such as Eliza Acton. This tradition is combined with the latest advances and innovations in cooking during the last twenty years.

About the Author

Delia Smith is Britains bestselling cookery author, whose books have sold over 19 million copies. From her first job as a cookery writer for the Daily Mirror magazine in 1969, Delia published the original How To Cheat at Cooking with Ebury Press in 1971, then presented Family Fare for BBC1. Her series How To Cook was a huge success and the accompanying, million–selling books represented a publishing phenomenon. In 2002 she produced her Vegetarian Collection, then The Delia Collection – Soup, Chicken, Chocolate, Fish, Italian, Pork, Baking and Puddings. 2008 saw her triumphant return to television with How to Cheat – a whole new approach to cooking – and the accompanying book sold over 500,000 copies. Her latest book, Delias How to Cook, will be published on Mothers Day 2009. Delia is a director of Norwich City Football Club, where she is in charge of Canary Catering, several restaurants and food and wine workshops.
