About the Author

Sophie is synonymous with great food, often using new and exciting ingredients in simple, easy dishes. She has a natural ability to teach cookery in an informal and friendly way, and her TV career began in 1993 with the award–winning 12–part Grow Your Greens, Eat Your Greens for Channel 4.

In 2001, Sophie won the Guild of Food Writers Cookery Journalist Award. Sophies book, Organic, was co–written with her husband, William Black and was published in May 2001. Sophie Grigsons Country Kitchen was published in September 2003, The First–time Cook was published in 2004 and Vegetables was published in October 2006.

Sophie is one of the featured chefs in the BBC Food websites Get Cooking video console.
